For high volume cooking in a small countertop setup, look no further then a commercial hot dog roller grill!

Hot dog equipment has long been used by convenience stores and concession stands to serve tasty hot dogs that are consistently hot and fresh. Purchasing a hot dog machine and its various accessories is a simple way to include this profitable food item in your company, whether it is being served as a snack or entrée.

Roller grills pack quite a punch when it comes to speed and efficiency, and they can be placed right on the countertop for easy self-service at a convenience store or full-service at a concession stand. Rolling hot dogs on the grill is a speedy and effective way of cooking. Chrome rollers rotate the dogs over and over, evenly cooking them while providing a great merchandising strategy.

Some people prefer the browned, slightly crispier texture this cooking method creates. Hot dog rollers add a different taste and texture to hot dogs than steamers. The adaptability of some hot dog roller cooker models will be useful if you want to offer foods other than hot dogs that can be cooked on a roller grill, such as egg rolls, sausages, or taquitos.

With strong manufacturers like Star and Nemco, these roller grills are surprisingly worry-free and will last for years.

Flat or Slanted Rollers

These hot dog machines either have an open top or a clear sneeze guard, allowing customers to view the hot dogs within, which may encourage impulsive purchases. You can also choose between slanted and non-slanted roller designs.

Grills that provide a slight tilt, are great for presentation. These units make hot dogs look juicy and plentiful, glistening in a light coating of oil and attracting hungry customers. Tilted grills make it easier for customers to grab franks in the back without spilling others.

Flat roller grills provide efficient rolling and even heating throughout the whole surface. They also don't allow franks to roll down the grill when customers or staff are serving.

Grill Sizing

Commercial roller grills are available in a variety of sizes and capacities. Since this equipment is designed to sit on countertops, they are compact and take up little space in commercial kitchens. Widths generally range between 12" and 36". Units can hold anywhere from 2 rows of standard hot dogs, up to 6 rows of standard hot dogs sitting back to back.

Grill Capacity

Just as roller grill widths range, as do hot dog capacities. Small units can typically hold 10 to 20 franks at a time, with production per hour ranging around 200 and 300 hot, freshly cooked franks an hour. These smaller models are great for low-volume concessions or convenience stores. Because of their low capacities, they do require more staff supervision.

Our largest collection of hot dog grills can hold more than 45 hot dogs at a single time, with the highest capacity models holding up to 75 franks at once. These large models provide high production per hour. With the ability to cook over 900+ dogs per hour, these units will keep stadium concessions and restaurants stocked throughout the day.

Construction

Commercial hot dog grills like this have versatile heat control, meaning you can turn the heat up or down on the front, back or both sections. Although there are seven heat settings, these machines require no ventilation system, making them perfect for a variety of applications. Many machines have a removable grease drip pan that makes clean up easier.

Built using stainless steel, these units are durable for even the most rugged use. It is also easy to stay up-to-date with cleaning. Coming in either chrome, stainless steel, or a non-stick material, the rollers can be easily removed and cleaned.

Additional Hot Dog Equipment

Simply place a hot dog roller grill behind the counter in your concession stand or even on the countertop in a convenience store, and your hot dog sales are sure to soar. Bun storage comes standard with only some hot dog rollers. Adding a hot dog bun warmer is an extra option, allowing you to store buns in the same footprint you are cooking the hot dogs in.

To further show off your hot franks in a fun way, use a hot dog merchandiser.
