Soup Well Sizing & Capacity

Drop-in soup wells come in a range of sizes to accommodate different sizes of space. Depending where you are placing a soup well, the size of the well is important to note when constructing serving lines or countertops. This array of hot soup wells range from 8" wide up to 14" wide. Heights also range with these round wells, typically ranging from 8" to 12" deep.

Soup well capacity is measured using quart pans. Our collection of hot round soup wells can hold between 4 quarts and 11 quarts of liquid. Larger wells will allow users to warm higher volumes of sauces or soups at a single time. Large units are great for serving soups in cafeterias, while smaller units are perfect for serving sauces or syrups.

Temperature Controls

These drop-in soup wells come with infinite or thermostatic controls.

  • Thermostatic controls provide the user more power over the appliance. The heating components will turn on and off as necessary to maintain the temperature that you choose.
  • Infinite controls call for you to select a setting that will define how much heat the elements will continuously emit. Although infinite controls are more cost-effective, if used by a novice user, they can cause burnt food.

Temperature-ready indicator lights are standard to help users know when heat is on and when it has reached the optimal temperature. Powerful tubular heating elements are located under the units for quick and efficient heating.

Drain Connections

Some of these wells even come with drains at the bottom to help you remove condensation and extra water. Depending what size drain connection you need, there are models available between 1/2" and 3/4". We also have many models that are connectionless to provide even more versatility. Many of these units are NSF Listed.
