The body of this sandwich grill is made of corrosion-resistant stainless-steel, and the cooking surface is made of cast iron, which is smooth on the bottom and grooved on the top. A heavy-duty torsion spring is used in the hinge mechanism. The "flat landing" opening on the grill enables for continuous contact heating of objects up to 3 inches thick. The grill has an electronic timer and electronic temperature control and that ranges from 175 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. A pre-wired 6' cord with a standard NEMA plug that matches the device's certification and amperage is included with the unit.
