Ice Machine Heads

Start by estimating how much ice your operation uses per day, then choose the ice type, condenser type, machine width, voltage, and compatible bin or dispenser. It is also important to consider water quality, drainage, ventilation, and available clearance around the unit.

Yes, water filtration is strongly recommended for most ice machine heads. A filter can help reduce sediment, scale buildup, chlorine taste, and other water-related issues that may affect ice quality, machine performance, and maintenance needs.

Air-cooled ice machine heads use surrounding air to help remove heat from the refrigeration system, while water-cooled models use water for cooling. Air-cooled models are more common in many commercial kitchens, while water-cooled models may be used in certain environments where airflow is limited or heat output is a concern.

No. Ice machine heads must be matched with compatible bins or dispensers based on width, model, mounting requirements, and ice capacity. Always confirm compatibility before purchasing.
