Ice Cream Machines

Consider how much product you expect to serve, the number of flavors you want to offer, available counter or floor space, and your electrical requirements. You should also compare hopper capacity, production output, air-cooled versus water-cooled models, and cleaning and maintenance requirements.

Soft serve machines continuously freeze and dispense a softer, ready-to-serve product directly into a cup or cone. Batch freezers freeze individual batches of ice cream, gelato, sorbet, or similar desserts that are typically transferred to another container for serving, storage, or additional hardening.

Commercial soft serve machines are commonly available as single-flavor or two-flavor models. Many two-flavor machines also include a twist option that combines both flavors into one serving. The right configuration depends on your menu, available space, and expected customer volume.

Start with your expected servings during your busiest periods rather than your average daily volume. Compare each machine's production capacity, recovery time, hopper or cylinder capacity, and physical dimensions to make sure it can keep up with demand while fitting your available space and utility connections.
