Extended warranties take effect after manufacturer's warranty expires, or 1 year after purchase, whichever comes soonest.

CPS offers customers product coverage at prices that make sense. With no deductibles or hidden fees, you can count on CPS to take care of all of your burkett.com purchases. CPS Protection Plans are extensions of your manufacturer's written warranty. Any malfunctions that would normally be covered within the terms and conditions of the original written warranty would be covered through the life of the CPS extended warranty. For eligible Burkett Used equipment, CPS coverage begins after the 90-day Burkett Warranty period ends.

How do I file a warranty claim?

To initiate a claim, please call Consumer Priority Service at 1-800-905-0443 or visit https://www.cpscentral.com/ and select "Appliance Shield Program" from the "Customers" menu. Select "Make a Claim" to begin. Service under this guarantee shall be provided exclusively by Consumer Priority Service authorized service providers.

Please have the following information available when you call:

  • Warranty ID Number
  • Valid proof of purchase
  • Make, model number and serial number of your product

How do I register my plan?

Registering your CPS warranty is easy!

  • By Mail: Complete the mail-in registration form
  • By Phone: Call 1-800-905-0443
  • Online: Log into https://www.cpscentral.com/ and click the "Register Your Plan" link.

Will I have to pay a deductible?

No. All CPS plans are zero deductible. That means ALL costs associated with Parts and Labor to repair your defective product are covered. Owning a CPS service plan means you are FULLY COVERED!

Can I transfer the extended warranty to a new owner?

Yes. CPS warranties can be transferred between owners one time without loss of coverage.

I'm a residential customer, is the CPS warranty for me?

Yes. Most manufacturer warranties void with residential use, so an extended warranty is required to protect you and your product. If the manufacturer warranty is eligible for residential customers, your Extended Warranty coverage will begin after that coverage ends. If there is no manufacturer warranty, your coverage will begin 30 days after your receipt of the item.

Is my Used or Reconditioned equipment eligible for a warranty?

Yes. Serialized used and reconditioned equipment purchased directly from Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies or burkett.com is eligible for an extended warranty from CPS.

Does CPS offer coverage for equipment outside of the U.S.?

No. Unfortunately the CPS warranty will not cover items after they are removed from the United States.
