Shipping Rates

Shipping rates for orders from Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies depend upon the shipping method, delivery address, dimensions and weight of the package. Our website will automatically calculate your shipping rate when you place an item in your shopping cart. Some items may require a special freight quote. You will be contacted by a sales representative to receive a quote after placing an order. You may also call our sales team directly at 800-828-8564.

Free Freight

Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies offers free freight on select items, as indicated on each product. This offer applies only to the continental United States and includes basic delivery charges. Free Shipping includes shipping on qualified orders from dock to dock (freight) or curbside (parcel). Free Shipping does not include additional services such as inside delivery, lift-gate delivery or express delivery. If you require any of those additional services, please select these options during checkout.

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or areas outside the borders of the United States will not qualify for the free shipping promotion and will incur additional charges. After placing your order, a Burkett Sales Representative will contact you before processing your order. We are unable to deliver to Post Office Boxes and APO/FPO addresses.

* Transit time does not include product lead times. Orders must be submitted by 2:30PM Eastern Standard Time. Deliveries are not made or processed on weekends and/or holidays.

Freight Shipping:
All orders that do not qualify for parcel shipping will be delivered by a commercial freight carrier. Freight shipment may require a scheduled delivery, which is available for an additional charge and must be inspected for damage at time of delivery.

Freight Shipping with Liftgate Delivery:
A liftgate will lower your recently purchased goods from the delivery truck to the ground for ease of unloading. Customer is responsible for your merchandise once the liftgate has lowered it to the ground. Customer will need to have a hand truck, dolly, or assistance with moving the product inside your building. There is an additional fee associated with liftgate delivery.

Residential Shipping:
Deliveries made to residential, schools, churches or limited access areas will incur an additional shipping charge. It is the responsibility of the customer to identify the shipping address as residential or limited access. If a freight carrier attempts to and is unable to deliver for reasons that are within your control, redelivery fees may apply.

International Shipping:
Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies is currently unable to ship internationally. If you have a freight forwarder, we can work with you on shipping your desired products to them and then almost anywhere in the world. Please note, you are responsible for managing international shipments, including scheduling and the delivery of container(s) for loading by Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies or an approved agent and US Customs regulations and requirements. Distribution And Lead Times

Factory Direct Shipments:
Some of our products ship directly from the manufacturer and will not be included with any additional products that are shipping from our warehouse.

Quick Ship:
Items marked Quick Ship will leave our warehouse in 3 business days or less.

Same Day Shipping:
Same day shipping items will ship SAME DAY if your order was processed before 2:30 PM EST, otherwise they will ship within 1 business day of order processing.

Damage Policy

Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies is not liable for orders damaged in transit. Any issues associated with shipping damage will need to be reported to Burkett within five (5) calendar days of delivery.

If any of your order is damaged, protect yourself by noting "DAMAGED" on the delivery receipt while the driver is there. Always take photos of any damage that has occurred to be prepared for an inspection from the freight carrier. Do not throw away any of the original inner or outer packaging.

It is imperative that you do the following upon receipt of any order delivery:

  • Inspect all packages thoroughly before signing for your shipment.
  • Refuse any packages that have visible damage.

By following these steps, and REFUSING any damaged deliveries, Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies will gladly reship or replace the damaged items at no cost.

Concealed Damage

Any damage to the actual item and not to the outer packaging is considered concealed damage. Upon arrival, please review your package with the driver. If any damage is discovered, you must keep the original outer packaging as well as inner packaging and then request an inspection immediately from the freight carrier. You may file a freight claim for inspection via a written request to the freight carrier. This must be reported within 48 hours. Signing For Your Package Before Noting Damages

If you sign your name on the freight bill without noting any damages, then you are stating that you have received your order/shipment in acceptable condition. Once this has occurred, there is no possibility of filing a freight claim, and there will be no reimbursement of freight charges, order costs or any other charges incurred by you from Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies. Once you have signed the Bill of Lading that your shipment arrived in acceptable condition, the item(s) belong to you.

Refused Shipments And Unauthorized Returns

Any order or items cancelled or returned after the original approved sales order will be subject to vendor restocking fee minimum 20%, plus return shipping if the Item has been shipped by Burkett or Vendor, including special order items received by Burkett.

Redelivery / Storage Fees

If the freight carrier attempts delivery and is unable to deliver for reasons that are within your control, redelivery fees may apply. Once a shipment is in transit, new fees may apply if there is a change in delivery address.

If you make arrangements with a carrier to store your order for any amount of time other than standard transit time, please note the carrier reserves the right to bill you for storage fees. In some cases the carrier may bill Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies. If this occurs, Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies reserves the right to bill the charges back to the customer. You will also be responsible for any damages that may occur during the storage period. Our Damage Policy will take effect if you choose to keep your damaged order. If you refuse your order, our Refuse Shipments policy will be implemented.
