What Size Establishment Are Undercounter Dishwashers Ideal For?

They are ideal for smaller establishments that do not require fast-paced turnover of dishes. Full sized dishwashers are able to handle larger loads of dishes, while undercounter dishwashers can handle smaller loads. Typically restaurants or bars with fewer than 50 seats would prefer the smaller size of an undercounter dishwasher.


Do Undercounter Dishwashers Need a Booster Heater?

Like any other commercial dishwasher, this depends on the style of wash you choose. If you choose a low temperature dishwasher, you will not need a booster heater as most water heaters can reach the required wash temperatures on their own. If you choose a high temperature dishwasher however, you will likely need a booster heater. Some models come with one built in, while others require the heater to be purchased separately. Check the spec sheet of your particular model for more information.


How Much Can an Undercounter Dishwasher Wash?

Depending on the model, undercounter dish machines can have a capacity of up to 40 racks per hour. Only a single 20” x 20” rack can fit inside most machines at once, taking typically between 90 seconds and 313 seconds to complete a cycle.
