With a footprint that is only 12 inches wide, the Vollrath 40736 Cayenne gas hotplate can cook two separate foods. Individual cast iron grates, which are hefty and effectively retain heat even when new, cooler product is introduced, are attached to front-to-back burners. A full-width tray collects grease during cooking, keeping it off the tabletop. At the conclusion of each day, this one tray can be removed to clean the garbage that has been gathered. To safeguard users and prevent grease from getting on the knobs, a bull-nose edge on the front extends past the hot surface.
